This campaign was all about showing PACKFIRE as part of a real Memorial Day weekend including family/friends around the fire, food cooking nearby, and those simple outdoor moments that make summer feel like summer.
approach
I brought together two families (already close family friends) with several kids of different ages, which gave the whole evening a really natural and genuine feel from the start. One of the families owns a branch of Outer Banks Boil Co and setup a shrimp boil table. I partnered with a local vacation rental property that gave us the perfect backyard setting for the relaxed hang I wanted to capture.
I encouraged everyone to have fun together like they normally would—football, cornhole, food, s’mores, and hanging around the fire. The shoot needed minimal direction and it’s safe to say everyone had a great time.
